Update – early May

It has been a very busy year, so I need to catch up with my posts!

Highlights have been attending the TTA National Conference back in October and seeing so many friends and new faces with some great CPD including business whatsapp now on my website!  I have attended the tutor2U AQA A-level Economics CPD session in February, I’m about to attend an Economics Factory Economics Teachers CPD day later this month and we now have 11 tutors as part of our Online Tutor Collective – I’ll write a separate article on that.

I have improved my technology using Google Shared Drive for students and families to access their tutoring content and for most students using the superior online classroom Pencil Spaces, so that students can access 24/7 and view the content from the sessions on boards.  This includes seeing their question paper, their answers, the mark scheme and for Year 13s model answers on the same whiteboard.  This is alongside the use of tutor mock exams and economics model answers for multiple exam syllabuses from 2017 to 2024.

I’ve been tutoring circa 35 students in A-level Economics and A-level Business, BTEC and (I)GCSE Business.  My next focus is on Year 12 Economics and Business students looking for help to improve their UCAS predicted grades over the summer, both summer term and holidays.  Just get in touch – you can whatsapp me or email.  Again I’ll write a separate article on that.
