About my business and economics tutoring services

I’m passionate about education, learning and development and have expertise in tutoring, coaching and mentoring students. I take my role as your tutor seriously, but I’m also friendly and engaging, allowing me to relate to, and get on with people.

- I’ve been an online tutor for 23 years and teach 35+ students each year – covering school and college students, holiday tutoring and home schooled students
- I have 14 years’ expertise in online one to one tuition, secondary education, university tutoring and sports coaching, coupled with 25 years’ experience in the global corporate world, small business, banking and learning and development.
- I’m PGCE MBA graduate, so I’m a qualified teacher and also have qualifications in banking business, economics and teaching.
- I’m an A level examiner for both economics and business, giving you confidence in the high quality of my assessment and feedback processes to help you achieve your potential.
- I’m a former Board Director at the UK’s only government recognised tutoring organisation, The Tutor’s Association. I was elected by the membership, and my work included a focus on professionalising tutoring.
- As a volunteer, I’ve been chair of a local junior sports club managing over 280 juniors, 40 coaches and volunteers. I’m known for a sense of fun and humour, facilitating people’s development and encouraging them to be their best selves by bringing subjects to life.
- I’m a former field hockey and tennis coach, and am married with a son and daughter – so I understand the parent’s view too. I’ve coached a junior field hockey team to three County Cup wins in a row.
- My children are both at medical school here in the UK – so I understand the journey to success and know how to add value.

I have deep subject matter knowledge from my roles in industry combined with a natural ability to explain things really simply. I’ve worked in education at schools, within businesses, in banking and in information communication technology and am able to provide real-life, practical examples in my business and economics tutoring which really adds to your learning.
