We are a group of high calibre tutors who are highly qualified A-level teachers with many years of subject and online teaching/tutoring expertise. Given the scarcity of A-level Chinese tutors, we now have Daniel our excellent A-level Chinese Mandarin tutor who, whilst not being teacher qualified adds both to our quality and subject breadth. All of us are part of the Online Tutor Collective (our tutor group) and whilst we each have our own independent tutoring businesses we agree to a set of common quality standards.
We recommend each other. I choose to promote my fellow tutors in other subjects as it provides both my clients and potential clients with options to consider that might better meet their needs.
Please note:
This Tutor Group, the Online Tutor Collective, has no direct involvement in, or responsibility for, tuition services of individual tutors. All arrangements are between the individual tutor and the client.
Here are the Online Tutor Collective’s common quality standards:
- Teachers – each tutor either has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), PGCE and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the exception of Daniel our excellent Chinese Mandarin tutor as highlighted above
- Member of The Tutors’ Association: the voluntary, not-for-profit professional body that represents the tutoring sector, with a commitment to continuous personal development
- Enhanced DBS check and on the Update Service
- Safeguarding training
- Free-of-charge and without obligation initial student and parent/carer engagement.
- Student Plan to focus on the knowledge, skills and exam technique required to help the student achieve their desired objective
- Minimum number of lessons – a minimum of four hours of tutoring (subject to individual tutor practice)
- Recording of online sessions, subject to client consent, and retaining the recording for a minimum period of time for the student to access, subject to individual tutor’s policies
- 24 hours’ notice of cancellation or the lesson is fully chargeable, subject to the individual tutor’s practices, terms and conditions
- Provide a short progress report to student and parents
